Your preschooler loves to watch a favorite show or listen to a favorite song on your phone or your computer. But how much screen time is really okay for your little one? As a parent, you try to strike a balance between too little and too much in almost every area, and the use of technology is no exception.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Guidelines for screen time<\/b><\/h3>\n

The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommends an hour or less of high-quality digital media per day for children 18 months and older. For children under 18 months, the AAP suggests zero screen time unless it is for a video chat, for example, talking with a parent or grandparent. The AAP recommends that children spend most of their waking hours either playing or learning.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
