We are state licensed to care for and teach children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old.
Our hours of operation are 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. to accommodate your family’s needs
We are open Monday through Friday, except on the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas. Early Closings: Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. If the holiday falls on a weekend, we may close on Friday or Monday in accordance with generally accepted holiday schedules.
For our school-aged children who do not have school on holidays such as Martin Luther King Day, President’s Day, Election Days, etc. we remain open for business.
For all snow days, teacher development days, etc when school-ager’s are out of school, we will have care available for those days. (For these days, we strictly follow the Ft Zumwalt school district calendar/closings.
When enrolling, there is an annual enrollment fee of $50/child or $75/family. The fee will be charged to your account annually.
For “deposits”, we charge the annual enrollment fee in addition to the first week tuition to hold your child’s spot. The “deposit” fee is non-refundable should your family terminate your enrollment plans.
Yes! For families with a second child, there is a five percent discount on the older child rate. For families with three or more children, the discount is ten percent for the entire family.
For children aged two or older, we do offer two and three day “full-time” options for our school IF AVAILABLE. The two day option is Tuesday/Thursday and the three day option is Monday/Wednesday/Friday. Those rates are shown in our tuition schedule.
For school-ager’s that were previously enrolled with us and now attending a school in another district and still enrolled in our summer camp program, they are welcome to attend on days that their school is closed as long as Ft Zumwalt is also closed. The drop-in rate for these days is $45/day.
We have partnered with Match Me Grow since 1999 who provides a secure Internet viewing system. The system is password-protected allowing parents to observe your child in their classroom and areas of the building they will be in.
Watch Me Grow may be viewed on hand held devices as well as tables, laptops, etc. anywhere in the world where an internet connection may be attained. Great for parents whose work schedules take them away from home.
Parents may also extend viewing privileges to grandparents as well which is GREAT for those families separated geographically!
We provide transportation to Dardenne, Emge, Ostmann, Pheasant Point, Progress South, Rock Creek, and Twin Chimney elementary schools for school-aged children.
Our drivers are trained in safety, their routes, how to manage their attendance recaps, emergency procedures and properly licensed by the state of Missouri.
Our buses provide lap and shoulder seat belts to all children on our two newest buses.
Yes. We provide an array of fun and educational field trips throughout the year. Most field trips always include additional staffing beyond the state licensing requirements to assure the utmost in safety and the ability to be well managed.
Our pre-k children go on two field trips during the school year to a farm and pumpkin picking.
During our summer camp program, pre-k children go on one field trip per week while our school-aged kids go on two field trips weekly.
Our experience? Under our ownership, we have SUCCESSFULLY managed nearly SIX HUNDRED field trips.
We encourage family collaboration our staff! Daily, parents will receive their “Tadpoles” report on their child’s day, special alerts, reminders, etc.
Parents are welcome to speak with their child’s teachers at drop-off or pick-up as well as during the day as each room has a phone in it.
For special concerns about your child or our program, please feel welcome to speak with our Administrative team or Owners as you are passing through or set up a meeting.
Kids ‘R’ Kids utilizes tempered, safety glass walls and doors for a multitude of reasons: they provide the best view possible; they are cleaner, safer and leave no question of who is caring for your child; they promote an open and airy environment where teachers and children are in constant contact; and ensure the utmost safety and security of everyone.
Additionally, your child’s transition from one room to another is eased by visually seeing other children and upcoming teachers in the next classroom!
Our exclusive curriculum propels Kids ‘R’ Kids Learning Academies far beyond state and industry standards. The standards-driven learning goals via the Nationally Accredited curriculum provide teachers with the tools to engage children in fun and purposeful activities.
Our experience also allows us to assess your child’s abilities compared to a peer group for cognitive, behavioral, social, and physical abilities. For some children who are struggling in these areas, we have developed relationships with Child Care Aware (a non-profit group dedicated to the welfare of all children) and the Ft Zumwalt school district’s Special Education Department to provide further assessments at the highest professional level.
Yes. Every classroom has a designated time to play and explore on their own age-appropriate playground. We have four age appropriate playgrounds on the property with turf playgrounds for the kids aged two through four and a half.
During the school year, we utilize our “gym” area on inclimate weather days allowing the children to get some exercise as well.
Yes. Breakfast, lunch, morning, and afternoon snacks are provided at Kids ´R´ Kids and included in your rates. Breakfast is available from 7:15 am – 8:00 am each day for $1.50/day.
For bottle-fed children, families must provide prepared formula or mother’s milk placed in bottles. We will inform you of the policy regarding baby foods. All infant items should be marked with the child´s first and last name, and date.
Our menu is a four week “rotating” menu for children and is available for review online or from the front desk.
Our staff is required to attend all state-mandated training and are certified in infant, child and adult CPR and First Aid. They are also required to undergo twelve hours of professional development training throughout each year.
On a daily basis, our Curriculum Director and other Administrators continually monitor staff performance to assure parents children are being nurtured and taught.
We invite you to stop by anytime between 9 am and 3:30 pm without an appointment. For a tour before or after these times, we do request that you schedule a time so we may have a director or owner available to show you what our center has to offer and spend as much time with you as you would like.

Enrollment packages are provided to interested parents following a tour, your may come back to KRK and pick up an enrollment package, and for your convenience, enrollment packages are available on-line under “Parent Area” – “Online Forms”.
Because we are family-owned and operated, we are on-site and actively involved with our staff and families. This allows us to uphold the highest standards and provide unparalleled service for the families in our community.
Marcia and Kevin believe in investing in a strong Administrative group, larger than almost all other centers to best manage the success of KRK. In addition to being active owners, we have three full-time directors and one part-time administrator on our staff.
The six of us have over SIXTY years of management experience at our Center. SIXTY YEARS!!!
If an emergency develops such as severe weather, fire, physical damage to the building, or any other situation that poses a threat, both moms and dads will be notified via Tadpoles with an email message or text depending on the severity of the emergency.
At enrollment, we capture every parents email address and phone number providing us the ability to communicate as required.
For inclimate weather days, we also list a delayed opening or closure on KSDK Channel 5.
Many parents ask about our “history” with weather……..in fifteen years we have closed two or three days with a handful of late starts. We are always concerned about our staff’s safety and their ability to travel safely to KRK.
