Whether you live in a snowy state or one that stays hot all year round, you can turn your home into a winter wonderland by getting crafty. Spark your preschooler\u2019s creative side and spend the day trying these fun crafts that will get your children into the holiday spirit.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Paper Snowflakes<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A classic winter craft, all this requires is paper and scissors. Have your kiddo fold a square piece of paper into smaller triangles until you have a good-sized triangle that you can still cut through. Cut shapes into your triangle\u2014just don\u2019t cut the inner-most corner of your triangle, or it\u2019ll fall apart! You can get extra creative with these by using bright colored paper, or having your preschoolers color and add sparkles or anything they want before folding and cutting. Just make sure everything is dry first and always use child-safe scissors!<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Gingerbread House<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This craft is fun for the whole family\u2014and you get to eat it, too! Many stores sell <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thespruce.com\/how-to-make-easy-gingerbread-houses-2104319\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">gingerbread house<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> kits with the design already cut into gingerbread pieces along with icing, gum drops, peppermint, and anything else you could imagine needing to make a beautiful gingerbread house. If you love to bake, you can of course make everything in your own kitchen and extend the fun!<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Fluffy Snowmen<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">With some cotton balls and creativity, you don\u2019t need snow to build snowmen! Glue cotton balls onto construction paper to form the snowmen\u2014you can pull the cotton balls apart to get wispier snowmen or keep the whole thing intact for fat, squishy creations. Your little ones can then cut out or draw a top hat, a carrot nose, and anything else they want their snowmen to wear\u2014the possibilities are endless! Hang your preschooler\u2019s creations on the fridge for all to admire.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Homemade Ornaments<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Your little ones can design their own ornaments to hang on the tree this year! A great idea for children of all ages is a popsicle stick snowflake. Use glitter glue to cover the popsicle sticks entirely in your child\u2019s favorite color, and once they\u2019re dry, glue them into the shape of a snowflake. You can get as simple or intricate as you want with your design\u2014either way, it\u2019ll look beautiful on your tree once you attach some yarn or string to hold it. Have your preschooler sign and date the back of their ornament to keep the memories sweet for years to come.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Winter is a time of endless fun for children of all ages, and the magic doesn\u2019t have to stop when you spend the day indoors.
