This special day is a great chance to let your little one show how much they appreciate their dad. Consider these fun ideas, and try out some of them with your preschooler this year.<\/span><\/p>\n

Let your preschooler make a card for dad.<\/b><\/h2>\n

Homemade cards are so much more fun than store-bought cards because they are unique and personalized\u2014they will be prized possessions for years to come. Let your little one draw pictures, and ask them what they want the card to say. Write their special message, or if you have the patience, let them write it themselves by spelling out the words for them. If the card ends up being a funky size, try making your own envelopes!<\/span><\/p>\n

Make Father\u2019s Day traditions with your preschooler.<\/b><\/h2>\n

What are some traditions that you can keep every Father\u2019s Day with your preschooler? One awesome option is to take pictures of your child side-by-side with their father and as the years progress, you can look back and see how they have both changed over the years. You can also have your preschooler make a tradition of giving the same type of gift every year, like a new coffee mug! You could also start a breakfast tradition. Every Father\u2019s Day, bring dad breakfast in bed with his favorite coffee and breakfast food!<\/span><\/p>\n

Pull out pictures of dad when he was a preschooler.<\/b><\/h2>\n

Speaking of pictures, pull out old pictures of dad when he was little, and compare his looks to your little one. Do they have any similar features? Have your preschooler guess who\u2019s in the picture. A lot of children will guess their own name. Pull out pictures of mom too! Finding pictures of everyone at the same age is a lot of fun. The memories made are special, and reminiscing on the past always helps us appreciate the present.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
