While trick-or-treating may not be your favorite thing anymore, it is a key part of Halloween and every child knows about it from a very early age. To make sure they have a safe trick-or-treating experience, keep reading for some tips!<\/p>\n<p>A great way to stay safe while trick-or-treating is to go during the daylight. Odds are, your little one goes to sleep pretty early. Since that\u2019s the case, it makes sense to make the trick-or-treating rounds a while before it\u2019s their bedtime. By going during daylight hours, you\u2019re increasing your chance of always being able to see your little one and not having them get lost in a crowd of kids.<\/p>\n<p>Another way to keep safety first is to go trick-or-treating with a group of families that you know. Not only is it fun to have friends to go with, it also increases your child\u2019s chance of safety because they will most likely be staying with their friends when they\u2019re going door-to-door. You can start the evening off with an early dinner at one family\u2019s house and then all head out into the neighborhood together to trick-or-treat.<\/p>\n<p>While this idea may take some convincing, it\u2019s a good one nonetheless. If you\u2019re not dressing up, consider wearing a funny hat. You\u2019ll blend in with everyone else in a costume and you\u2019ll help your preschooler be able to find you in a crowd if you\u2019re wearing something that stands out. This doesn\u2019t have to be elaborate, just a little something to let your little one know how to find you.<\/p>\n<p>Trick-or-treating doesn\u2019t have to be overwhelming, it can be so fun!
