Here are a few ideas of Valentine\u2019s Day traditions to start with your preschooler.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Make Valentine\u2019s Day Crafts\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n

Making crafts is always a fun activity for preschoolers. You can get out the construction paper, markers, glue, and scissors, and help your preschooler decorate valentines. Or, you can keep it simple and mess-free with coloring pages until your child is old enough to participate more in this tradition. These crafts can even become special Valentine\u2019s Day keepsakes!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Create a Valentine\u2019s Day scavenger hunt\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n

A scavenger hunt is very exciting to any child! Hide some hints around the house with each clue leading to another. (For a preschooler, these hints can be as simple as a slip of paper with a drawing of a fridge, which leads to the fridge.) At the end, hide a little Valentine\u2019s Day treat! Your preschooler is sure to feel like a pirate or adventurer solving their scavenger hunt! As your child grows, the scavenger hunt can grow in complexity.<\/span><\/p>\n

Make homemade Valentine\u2019s Day decorations<\/span><\/h4>\n

A house decked out in painted heart decorations and red and pink garlands is a house full of love and creativity! As the years go by, your child will treasure time spent creating more and more handmade decorations with their parents.<\/span><\/p>\n

No matter how you choose to celebrate, Valentine\u2019s Day is a great opportunity to show your preschooler how to express love for their friends, family, and loved ones. Starting a tradition this year will help create a lifetime of love and joy for your child!<\/span><\/p>\n
