It is that time of year again! Christmas carols everywhere you go, lights decorating houses, Christmas trees and stockings enticing the children in every home. But have you found the perfect cookie recipe to make with your preschooler yet? If the answer is no, why not give one of these a try this year?<\/span><\/p>\n

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies<\/span><\/h4>\n

Ingredients: 1 \u00be cup all-purpose flour; \u00bd tsp salt; 1 tsp baking soda; \u00bd cup each softened butter, sugar, peanut butter, packed brown sugar; 1 beaten egg; 1 tsp vanilla extract; 2 T milk; 40 mini peanut butter cups, unwrapped\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Directions:<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Sift together the flour, salt, and baking soda; set aside.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Cream together the butter, sugar, peanut butter, and brown sugar until fluffy. Beat in the egg, vanilla, and milk. Add the flour mixture; mix well. Shape into forty balls and place each into an ungreased mini muffin pan.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Bake at 375 degrees for about 8 minutes. Remove from the oven and immediately press a mini peanut butter cup into each ball. Cool and carefully remove from the pan.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Reindeer Cookies<\/span><\/h4>\n

    Ingredients: 1 cup each of softened butter, sugar, and smooth peanut butter; 2 eggs; 1 tsp vanilla; \u00bd tsp salt; 3 cups all-purpose flour; 2 tsp baking soda; mini pretzel twists; chocolate chips; red M&M\u2019s<\/span><\/p>\n

    Directions:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.<\/span><\/li>\n
    2. Beat butter, sugar, peanut butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt together in a bowl until smooth and creamy. Stir flour and baking soda into creamed butter mixture until well incorporated.<\/span><\/li>\n
    3. Roll dough into balls. Flatten each ball and shape into an upside-down triangle. Press two pretzels into the two top corners of each triangle for the antlers. Press two chocolate chips into the center of each triangle for the eyes, and one chocolate chip or M&M on the bottom of the triangle for the nose. Arrange cookies on baking sheets.<\/span><\/li>\n
    4. Bake in the preheated oven until cookies are golden brown, 10 to 15 minutes.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      After you have finished baking and cleaning up the kitchen together, do not forget to grab a tall glass of milk and enjoy your new creations with each other while you cuddle up on the couch with a Christmas story. Enjoy!<\/span><\/p>\n
