If you\u2019re doing everything, do you really have time to do anything? Sometimes we like to pack our days full of things that are meant to bring our life more joy, but maybe these things are actually making life more stressful and are keeping us back from living the life we really want.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

When you try to fit a 40-hour work week, kids, sports practices and games, dance lessons, music lessons, play dates, and family time all in one week, life may start to seem a little too full. We need to invest in the things that we are really passionate about instead of booking our schedules full of things just for the sake of booking them.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

If little Sally loves art, consider letting her take art lessons and really investing in that skill. If she prefers dance or music, invest in one of those. But trying all three at once could be overwhelming to everyone involved, and there wouldn\u2019t be enough time to involve yourself in all three. If you\u2019re doing all three, then you really won\u2019t have time for any of them.<\/span><\/p>\n

The art of doing less to do more is quality over quantity. Doing less allows you to focus on the things that actually matter. Focusing on priorities will allow you to achieve better results and actually accomplish more. When you let go of the things that are distracting you from really living, you\u2019ll be less stressed and more likely to enjoy the things that come your way.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

With young children, this idea is especially important because our children should be one of our highest priorities, and it\u2019s easy to get caught up in doing things for our children instead of just loving them. In 2020, don\u2019t do things just simply to do them, but invest in activities that are going to bring joy to the life of your family. <\/span>
