Tips for Traveling with your Preschooler this Holiday Season

Tips for Traveling with your Preschooler this Holiday Season at Kids 'R' Kids New Territory/Telfair, preschool, daycare, learning academy, childcare

Can you believe it?! It’s already that time of year again. Before we know it, people will be stringing lights on their houses, crowding the malls for last-minute shopping, and getting ready for that big holiday trip. Whether you’re just going over to grandma’s house or traveling across the country, your preschooler will still need to be prepared for these adventures. Check out these tips for traveling with your preschool this holiday season!

Extra Packing Never Hurt Anyone

Because your child is constantly on the go, you should make sure that you bring extra clothes when packing. Your kiddo may decide they want to jump in a fountain while sightseeing, so it’s always good to bring dry clothes during these unpredictable moments. The weather can also be unpredictable, so it is highly recommended that you pack for the occasional warm or super cold day. It’s better to be prepared than underprepared!

Entertainment

Kids are easily distracted, so bring fun games and activities in the car or plane! Instead of giving your child an iPad, participate in fun activities that will keep your kid’s eyes off of a screen. Traveling and vacations are all about spending quality time with family and friends, so this is a great way to teach your kids to enjoy bonding with the ones that they love the most.

Bright Clothes

The chance of your child getting lost on vacation is rare, but there is unfortunately always that chance. To avoid this nightmare from occurring, try dressing your little one in bright clothing so that you can easily spot them in a crowd of people. Try to avoid neutrals or something that will make them blend with a mass of people.

Happy and safe travels!
