Trick-or-treating can cause some parents to get a little anxious, but it doesn\u2019t have to! This year, plan out how you want to trick-or-treat with your little one and stay safe using the below tips.<\/p>\n<p>A great way to stay safe while trick-or-treating is to go during the daylight. Odds are, your little one goes to sleep pretty early. Since that\u2019s the case, it make sense to make the trick-or-treating rounds a while before it\u2019s their bedtime. By going during daylight hours, you\u2019re increasing your chance of always being able to see your little one and not having them get lost in a crowd of kids.<\/p>\n<p>Another way to keep safety first is to go trick-or-treating with a group of families that you know. Not only is it fun to have friends to go with, it also increases your child\u2019s chance of safety because they will most likely be staying with their friends when they\u2019re going door-to-door. You can start the evening off with an early dinner at one family\u2019s house and then all head out into the neighborhood together to trick-or-treat.<\/p>\n<p>Lastly, familiarity is key when trick-or-treating. If you live in a neighborhood that has lots of trick-or-treaters or you\u2019re very familiar with another spot in your town that lots of kids go to, go to those places. Halloween night is not the time to go to an area you\u2019ve never been to before.
