In November 2006, Sandi Bennett opened the doors of Kids ‘R’ Kids Learning Academy of Mableton with a simple goal: build a preschool this community could be proud of. This November marks 20 years — two decades that have grown into something bigger than any one classroom, watching thousands of Mableton kids take their first steps, learn their letters, make their first friends, and head off to kindergarten ready for what’s next.

Two decades is a long time. It’s long enough that some of our current students are the children of kids who once walked these same halls. It’s long enough to have earned Cognia accreditation and to be recognized among the top-performing Kids ‘R’ Kids locations in the nation. And it’s long enough to have learned, over and over, what actually matters to the families who trust us with their children every day.

Some things about Kids ‘R’ Kids Mableton have stayed constant since day one:

• A safety-first promise. Coded entry, tempered safety-glass classrooms for constant visibility, security cameras monitored at the front desk, and drills every 30 days — because “safe” isn’t a marketing word here, it’s a daily operating standard.
• Real relationships, not turnover. Families tell us again and again that our teachers know their children as individuals — their fears, their favorite books, the way they like their hair braided before naptime.
• A locally-owned school with a local owner. Sandi still walks these halls. This isn’t a franchise running on autopilot — it’s a neighbor who built something for her neighbors.

Twenty years also means twenty years of getting better at this.
