Kids ‘R’ Kids of Liberty Field, a nationally accredited NAEYC, Cognia, and 4-Star Texas Rising Star learning academy, is looking for nurturing, fun, and energetic teachers for our Infant & Toddler program.
The ideal teacher would enjoy actively participating in a child’s milestone growth and development, possess strong multi-tasking and organizational skills, and have a love for executing creative stimulating experiences and activities to promote social, emotional, and intellectual development.
Infant/Toddler teachers will also be responsible for establishing and maintaining a clean, safe, and loving environment, communicate clearly and professionally with parents/guardians, work cooperatively with co-teachers and other faculty, and perform tasks according to Kids ‘R’ Kids Policies & Procedures, The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, and The Child Care Licensing agency.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or Accredited General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
- Must posses a Child Development Associate (CDA) or higher from an accredited college or university in Early Childhood Education, Child & Family Studies, Child Psychology, and/or Education
- One (1) year of qualifying teaching experience preferably in an early childhood setting
- Provide any additional forms/information required by the child care regulatory agency or Kids ‘R’ Kids – Liberty Field
- Meet minimum requirements set by the state child care regulatory agency for the position of Preschool Teacher
- Must have satisfactory outcome of background and fingerprinting check prior to starting employment
- Current certification in CPR/First Aid or the ability to obtain certification
- Demonstrate the ability to handle crisis situations, especially where children are involved and to respond immediately to any emergency situation
- Willingness to attend and/or participate in continued training/education as required by the child care regulatory agency or this school

- General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
- Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
- Skill in working with diverse groups of students and families
- Ability to demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS
- Daily attendance and punctuality at work are essential functions of the job.
- Proper attire
- Maintain emotional control under stress.
- Lifts 5-10 lbs. frequently, 10-50 lbs. occasionally, and more than 50 lbs. infrequently.
- Moderate running, walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, bending and twisting.
- Subject to visual acuity, speech/hearing, hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity to perform the essential functions.
- Work indoors and outdoors in varying climate conditions.
- May be required under special circumstances to provide physical restraint of students in danger of causing harm to themselves and/or others.
