Do your children find it difficult to complete tasks together at home? \u00a0Help your little ones build their teamwork at home! With these five ideas, they\u2019ll learn how they can each help work toward the same goal both at home and at preschool! <\/span><\/p>\n

Give your children different tasks to contribute to the same project. \u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n

Giving them the same task may create a sense of competition between them, rather than develop teamwork. For instance, when setting the table, one child can put napkins on the table while the other places the silverware on the table. \u00a0Teamwork!<\/span><\/p>\n

Introduce your child to team sports. \u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n

Whether your child is part of a soccer team or not, by watching games you can show your child how the members of the team all work together to score points.<\/span><\/p>\n

Everyone helps. \u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n

When cleaning a room in your home, make sure everyone pitches in. \u00a0Start by having each child take turns picking up one item. Then take turns picking up two items. \u00a0Work your way up to 10 items each\u2014then start back at one! This will help eliminate the bickering between siblings while they work together.<\/span><\/p>\n

Watch movies which promote teamwork. \u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n

In Disney\u2019s <\/span>Finding Nemo<\/span><\/i> and <\/span>Toy Story 2<\/span><\/i>, the characters all must work together in order to accomplish their task. \u00a0Each of the friends has a different responsibility in order for them to be successful! \u00a0When your children are working together, remind them about the characters in the movie!<\/span><\/p>\n

Show your child that by completing their task, he is allowing his sister to complete hers. \u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n

(And that this is an important part of team work!) \u00a0When setting the table, the silverware can\u2019t be placed until the napkin is on the table. \u00a0Your preschooler will begin to realize the impact of their actions!<\/span><\/p>\n
