Your child\u2019s preschool teacher will be the adult they spend the most time with, besides you. It\u2019s important that your child feels comfortable and at ease around them. Getting to know your little one\u2019s new teacher may seem like a daunting task at first, but it can definitely be a fun one! Try one of these tips in order to get to know them better!<\/p>\n

Send a note<\/h3>\n

Handwritten cards go a long way. A great way to let your child\u2019s teacher know you\u2019re thinking about them is to write them an encouraging note for the first day of school. It doesn\u2019t have to be long, but can simply state that you\u2019re looking forward to your child being in their class this year. Hand it to your child to give to their new teacher when they get to their classroom on the first day of school.<\/p>\n

Go to Meet the Teacher\u00a0<\/em>night<\/h3>\n

Odds are, your child\u2019s preschool will have some sort of meet the teacher night. It\u2019s important that you go to this and take your family with you! Spend time talking with the teacher and make sure you get her contact information. On the first day of school, you will feel more confident dropping your child off to someone that you know.<\/p>\n

Offer to volunteer<\/h3>\n

Preschools always have a lot of volunteer opportunities. If your schedule allows, let your child\u2019s teacher know that you\u2019re willing and able to help out when needed. It will be nice for them to know that they can count on you when a party or event occurs.<\/p>\n

Teachers have hard jobs, and it\u2019s important that you take the time to get to know the person who will be educating your child all year. Showing them that you support them will give them more confidence to do their job and give you more confidence in your child being in their classroom!<\/p>\n
