Do your children find it difficult to complete tasks together at home? \u00a0Help your preschooler build learn on teamwork at home! With these five ideas, they\u2019ll learn how they can each help work toward the same goal!<\/span><\/p>\n

Give your children different tasks to contribute to the same project. \u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n

Giving them the same task may create a sense of competition between them, rather than develop teamwork. For instance, when setting the table, one child can put napkins on the table while the other places the silverware on the table. \u00a0Team work!<\/span><\/p>\n

Approach it<\/span> corporately<\/span><\/a>. \u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n

Think about the ways a company or organization would build teamwork: team bonding. \u00a0Create an activity where your family works together to build camaraderie: cooking together or building together. \u00a0At the end, encourage everyone in their contributions to the final project.<\/span><\/p>\n

Everyone helps. \u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n

When cleaning a room in your home, make sure everyone pitches in. \u00a0Start by having each child take turns picking up one item. Then take turns picking up two items. \u00a0Work your way up to 10 items each\u2014then start back at one! This will help eliminate the bickering between siblings while they work together.<\/span><\/p>\n

Assign at least one chore a week that requires your children to work together. \u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n

Help them practice working together to build their team work. \u00a0Practice makes perfect! And, small victories will help your children see their progress in working together.<\/span><\/p>\n

Show your child that by completing their task, he is allowing his sister to complete hers. \u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n

(And that this is an important part of teamwork!) \u00a0When setting the table, the silverware can\u2019t be placed until the napkin is on the table. \u00a0Your preschooler will begin to realize the impact of their actions!<\/span><\/p>\n
