Going outdoors is finally an option, and they can run off some pent-up energy playing outside on playgrounds and running and riding bicycles. However, longer and sunnier days also mean more time to fill with activities for small children with short attention spans.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The results of a web search for \u201csummer crafts\u201d will inevitably yield an overwhelming amount of results that can be tough to wade through! Use chalk to draw giant tic-tac-toe squares or a bulls-eye on the driveway, and then use wet, colored sponges to toss onto these instant game boards.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Pool noodles can be used for everything from car race-tracks (cut them down the middle to make the u-shaped tracks) to rainbow-shaped obstacle courses to crawl or kick balls through.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Create some Boredom Bags to have on hand for those rare summer storms that keep everyone indoors. Have a coloring book, crayons, stickers, and coloring pads in a bag to hand out when the skies darken!
