Here are five ideas for planning your next family staycation:<\/span><\/p>\n

Pick a theme for your staycation. \u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n

This will help you select the activities for your week. \u00a0Some choices could be: history, dinosaurs, travel, carnival, etc. \u00a0Try to stick to your theme when you plan out your days. Include museums and learning opportunities when you can.<\/span><\/p>\n

Make a list of places you\u2019ve always wanted to visit. \u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n

Chances are, you haven\u2019t seen all that your town has to offer. \u00a0Make a list of the places that you\u2019d love to visit: historical locations or reenactments, local landmarks, exhibits at museums, or places that offer airplane rides in old planes!<\/span><\/p>\n

Go on a day trip. \u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n

If your city doesn\u2019t have what you\u2019re looking for, don\u2019t be afraid to travel an hour or two for the perfect staycation activity. \u00a0Pick your own farms, parks with hiking trails, and campgrounds are often best outside the city and offer many learning opportunities for your preschooler!<\/span><\/p>\n

Make sure your kids get a chance to run out their energy! \u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n

Amusement parks, indoor water parks, attractions like<\/span> Crayola Experience<\/span><\/a>, or an aquarium, are all great ways to entertain your preschooler and add some fun to your family staycation.<\/span><\/p>\n

Choose a night to stay in a hotel during your staycation. \u00a0Pack up the family for a quick trip to a local hotel. Let the kids stay up late, sleep in and have breakfast in bed, and get in a good day at the pool!<\/span><\/p>\n
