You should read this book:<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/RWvDOPI4fkk\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Don\u2019t Play with Your Food<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> by Bob Shea, and then you and your preschooler should start playing with your food!<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Monster Cupcakes<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">You will need to make your favorite cupcake recipe or, to save time, purchase some store bought cupcakes; and candy corn, gummy rings, or other candy<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">If you are baking your cupcakes, let your child help with the mixing and frosting.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Set out different types of candies for them to use to decorate the cupcakes.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Monsters are not just for Halloween! These are especially fun to do with candy corn if you read the Bob Shea book.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Toast Animals<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">You will need a piece of toasted bread; your favorite nut butter, Nutella, or cream cheese; and assorted cut fruit pieces.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Put your favorite spread on the piece of toast.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Use bananas, strawberries, blueberries, raisins, or apples to design an animal face.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Critter Crudit\u00e9s<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">You will need nut butter, celery sticks, and fruits or vegetables.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Trim the celery stalks.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Fill celery with nut butter.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Decorate with fruits and veggies to create caterpillars, snails, or whatever creature your preschooler can imagine.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Watermelon Pizza<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">You will need a seedless watermelon, yogurt, and other fruit cut into pieces.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Slice the watermelon into round, flat pieces (like pizza dough).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Use the yogurt as the sauce and spread over the watermelon.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Top with other fruits like bananas, strawberries, blueberries, pineapple, or whatever you would like.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Then cut the watermelon into slices and eat.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Sometimes getting your preschooler to eat feels like a battle. These recipes combine a preschooler\u2019s love for helping in the kitchen and their desire to be creative. It also gives them opportunities for a bonding activity with a parent.
