Double Cheese Strata
1 Pound of Sausage or Ground Meat
2 Cups of Sharp Cheddar Cheese
2 Cups of Mild Cheddar Cheese
¾ Teaspoon of Dry Mustard
3 Cups of Milk, Divided
6 Eggs Beaten
¼ Teaspoon Salt
Dash of Pepper
Remove crust from Bread. Cut into Cubes. Brown up meat and drain grease off meat. Layer Bread, then cheese, then meat. Another layer of bread, then meat, and then cheese. Dissolve dry mustard into the mix of eggs and milk with salt and pepper. Pour mixture over casserole. Cover and Refrigerate overnight. Bake at 325° uncovered for 1 hour and 15 minutes.

 

 

Cola Cake

Cola Cake
2 Cups of Sugar
2 Cups of All-Purpose Flour
1 ½ Cups of Small Marshmallows
½ Cup of Butter
½ Cup of Vegetable Oil
3 Teaspoon Cocoa
1 Cup of Cola
½ Cup of Buttermilk or Milk
1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
2 Eggs
1 Teaspoon of Vanilla Extract
Preheat oven to 350°
Sift sugar and flour, then add marshmallows. In saucepan, mix butter, oil, cocoa, and cola. Bring to a boil and pour over dry ingredients and blend well. Pour into greased pan (9x13in). Bake for 45 minutes. Remove from oven and frost immediately.
Frosting
½ Cup of Butter, Soften
3 Tablespoons of Cocoa
6 Tablespoons Cola
1 Box of Confectioners’ Sugar
1 Teaspoon of Vanilla Extract
1 Cup of Chopped Pecans (optional)
Combine Butter, Cocoa, and Cola. Bring to boil and pour over confectioners’ sugar-blending well.
Add vanilla and pecans. Spread over hot cake. Cool and Serve.
