Activities To Do With Your Preschooler for Pizza Week

Kids ‘R’ Kids Greatwood, preschool, daycare, childcare

If you’re like most people, pizza week is one of the most important weeks of your year. If you’ve never heard of it, here are a few activities you can do to celebrate this national holiday with your preschooler and finally understand the universal hype.

Bake A Special Pizza

Don’t forget that there are other types of pizza out there besides Pepperoni and cheese! Try baking different styles at home such as focaccia, calzones, panzerotti, etc. Talk about different ingredients used throughout, and vote on the type of pizza everyone would like to try the most! Encourage your preschooler to try new things, and bonus points if you try something new too! Involving your preschooler in the baking process helps them understand how a pile of ingredients turns into food on their plate.

Play Games And Go On Adventures

Pizza week just wouldn’t be pizza week without playing some pizza games! Turn this holiday into an exciting adventure: go to the grocery store and “forage” for ingredients; compete in an indoor scavenger hunt using pizza-themed riddles; see who can recite the most ingredients when given the name of a popular pizza type.

These simple pizza activities can transform a boring week into an unforgettable one. The smiles and memories from pizza week can become a tradition that lasts a lifetime – so get that lifetime started today with these fun ideas!
