About Us

With a love of children at our core, each Kids ‘R’ Kids facility is family owned and operated to ensure a solid sense of community.

Overview of Our Campus

Thank you for your interest in Kids ‘R’ Kids Learning Academy. We offer a safe, nurturing, and educational environment focusing on your child’s unique developmental and learning needs. It is our goal to set the standard for quality education in developmental learning centers and after-school care in the North Fulton area. We are not a “daycare” facility, but rather we offer quality care with an educational focus.

What makes our school so special? How are we different from others centers?

  • We have been nationally accredited by NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children) since 2006. Because of the high standards a school must meet to attain this accreditation, there are very few other NAEYC accredited preschools in our area.
  • We are a Double-Platinum Award-winning facility and one of only five Learning Academies in Georgia.
  • Kids ‘R’ Kids East Roswell Preschool is a franchise of Kids ‘R’ Kids International, headquartered here in Atlanta. Each Kids ‘R’ Kids center is as different as the individual owners. As a franchise, we are individually owned and operated, and NOT corporately owned and remotely operated like many of our competitors.
  • This on-site ownership differentiates our center from others in our area. My wife Marcy and I own and operate the facility and are actively involved on a day to day basis. As parents of three young children ourselves (Samantha, Audrey, and Eli), we know the importance of quality care for your children.

We operate the center with the same high standards and expectations that we have for our own children’s care.

We thank you for your interest in Kids ‘R’ Kids, and we hope you will enjoy your time as part of our East Roswell Preschool family.

In addition to being the perfect choice for your family’s early educational needs, we seek to be your partners in the care and education of your child. Plan your visit today

Our Classrooms

The Georgia Early Learning Development Standards (GELDS) are used for lesson planning within the framework of the Creative Curriculum. The GELDS are a continuum of skills, behaviors, and concepts that children develop from birth to age 5. The continuum allows the classroom teacher to individually plan activities based on the development level of a child within each area of learning by introducing skills and concepts at the child’s current level and then moving the child forward. The GELDS support the growth of the whole child  (physical development and motor skills; social and emotional development; approaches to play and learning; communication, language, and literacy; and cognitive development and general knowledge).

  • Our classroom technology is second to none. We offer interactive whiteboards in our pre-kindergarten classrooms as well as computers in our 3- and 4-year-old classrooms. We also offer access to ABCMouse for our families in our 3-year-old through pre-kindergarten classes. This is a school- and home-based, multi-award-winning early childhood education website. The learning activities include reading, mathematics, science, social studies, art, and music. These activities correlate to our weekly lesson plans so that parents can help their children practice skills learned in the classroom.

It is truly what separates us from all our competitors.

Our Teachers

Our teachers! For every 100 resumes received, we hire only one person. We have an exhaustive and comprehensive approach to hiring only the best, most qualified, and caring teachers and staff. It is truly what separates us from all our competitors.

All of our lead teachers either have an Early Childhood degree or a Child Development Associate’s credential with many years of experience in accordance with NAEYC’s staff qualification requirements. Our assistant teachers are also highly experienced and must have at least a Child Development Associate’s credential. All of our teachers participate in yearly ongoing training opportunities. Our average lead teacher tenure is among the best in our area.

Our teachers use the Creative Curriculum to educate children through “doing” various hands-on activities throughout the day. Each preschool classroom is divided into different learning centers (such as reading, construction, music, writing, science, manipulatives, art, computer, dramatic play, and sand & water) where children learn and interact with their environment, their teachers, and other children. They learn socialization skills and develop the building blocks of human relationships including trust, autonomy, initiative, empathy and self-confidence. We also focus on the physical needs of your child, developing both fine and gross motor skills.

Age-appropriate playgrounds for physical development and FUN

Our Outdoor Time

Our spacious state-of-the-art open facility offers four separate age-appropriate outdoor playgrounds – one for our infants and toddlers,  two for our preschoolers, and another for our Pre-K and school-age children in our after-school and summer camp programs. Our playgrounds all feature age-appropriate play equipment, shaded areas, and Astroturf surfaces so that the children can go outside even immediately after a downpour. We also offer an on-site splash park for those hot Atlanta summer days, and we are the only preschool in the metro Atlanta area to offer kid-sized tennis courts and putting greens.
