Start with the classics for preschoolers to remember.<\/b><\/h3>\n

Preschoolers enjoy singing along to songs that are easy for them to remember, especially those with upbeat, repetitive melodies and lyrics.\u00a0Start with classic, simple songs, such as \u201cIf You\u2019re Happy and You Know It,\u201d \u201cThe Wheels on the Bus,\u201d \u201cOld MacDonald,\u201d and \u201cRain, Rain, Go Away.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Create DIY maracas.<\/b><\/h3>\n

Create your own DIY maracas with only two supplies, both of which you probably already have on hand. Fill an empty water bottle with a handful of popcorn kernels or dry beans, screw on the lid, and shake away! You can even use these makeshift maracas to teach your child all about rhythm.<\/span><\/p>\n

Take your preschooler to a concert!<\/b><\/h3>\n

Nothing is as engaging and exciting as live music.\u00a0 Why not hold a jam session in your home? This is a great way to involve other members of the family, especially older siblings who will enjoy the opportunity to show off the results of their piano or violin lessons.<\/span><\/p>\n

Create an \u201cactive\u201d playlist.<\/b><\/h3>\n

Music is\u00a0<\/span>also a wonderful way to keep your child active. Songs like \u201cHead, Shoulders, Knees and Toes\u201d will get your little one moving, but nothing is as fun as freeform dancing to fun upbeat music. Check out this <\/span>playlist<\/span><\/a> of energetic, kid-friendly songs.<\/span><\/p>\n

Show your child different instruments.<\/b><\/h3>\n

You can also teach your preschooler about the wide variety of instruments that can be found at your local music store. Bongo drums, a piano, and the recorder are all easy to play and fun to use.\u00a0<\/span>So, crank up the tunes, and enjoy the wonderful benefits music has to offer!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
