Find a Rainbow Day – Celebrate With Your Preschooler

There are lots of funny holidays you may not know about – Bubble Bath Day, Strawberry Ice Cream Day, and even Nothing Day! But no obscure holiday is quite as joyful as Find A Rainbow Day! On April 3rd, you and your preschooler have an extra reason to explore the beauty and the special meaning of the rainbow! Here are some creative ideas to help you celebrate Find a Rainbow Day with your preschooler.

If you’re looking for an outdoor activity, why not take your preschooler on a nature walk?

Bring along a few crayons and paper, and encourage your little one to draw the rainbows they find in nature. You can even show them how to place leaves beneath the paper and lightly rub the crayon to create colorful nature rubbings.

Make a rainbow craft

If your preschooler needs some inspiration to get started, cut up some pieces of construction paper in all the colors of the rainbow and help your preschooler glue them into an outline to form a rainbow!

Rainbows are symbols of hope, peace, and joy

Talk with your preschooler about what experiences make you think of a rainbow after the rain. Give your preschooler a chance to share their thoughts on peace, hope, and love. You never know what you may learn!

No matter how you choose to celebrate Find A Rainbow Day with your preschooler, it’s sure to be a day full of fun, color, and creativity. So get out there, and explore the world of rainbows!
