For adults, pizza week may be just another normal week, but for your preschooler, pizza week is the Superbowl. So get ready, get set, and go long for some fun and festive ways to celebrate this very delicious holiday!
Art Activity
One great activity for preschoolers is making art inspired by pizza! Using different colors, paint unique patterns resembling topping combinations. Also encourage kids to use their imagination and come up with their own ingredients for their imaginary pizza. You’re probably going to get some pretty creative results. You can even cut up your canvas into “slices” to pass around, just make sure you’ve got a real piece in hand when it’s time to eat!
Have A Pizza-Themed Snack
Spice things up a bit with a DIY snack activity using pizza ingredients! Cut some pepperonis into mini circles and use small cookie cutters to make shapes out of other toppings like olives or mushrooms. Then, set aside the shapes and use any English muffins you have laying around in the kitchen as “dough”. Add a bit of tomato sauce, spread cheese over top, then sprinkle the shapes on before popping them in the oven until the cheese melts. Let them cool, then chow down!
If you’ve done pizza week right, it will feel like it’s over too soon. But don’t despair, pizza week will return next year. And now you’ll have a couple new traditions to look forward to!
