We are open to children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old without discrimination on the basis of political affiliation, religion, race, color, sex, mental or physical disabilities.
Hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 7:00 am – 6:00 pm, 12 months a year.
We welcome families from University City, Mallard Creek, and North Charlotte, as well as the
surrounding communities of Harrisburg, Concord, and Huntersville.
We are open Monday through Friday, except on the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, President’s Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Teacher Workday in August (date TBD each year), Thanksgiving (Thursday and Friday), and Christmas Eve Through the day after Christmas

Yes. Our internet viewing system connects parents and family members to their child while at work, deployed, or thousands of miles away. Through our secured website, using a unique password you can observe your child´s daily activities through your computer, smart phone, or tablet. The same cameras are fed to the front desk for additional monitoring by our administrative staff.
Yes. We transport our before and after school students to their local elementary school. We pick them up in the afternoon and bring them back to Kids ‘R’ Kids of Charlotte for our after school program. We currently serve the following schools: Croft Community Elementary, David Cox Elementary, Mallard Creek Elementary, Morehead STEM Academy, Nathaniel Alexander Elementary, and Stoney Creek Elementary.
Don’t see your school listed? Contact us and we will work to accommodate your needs if possible. Transportation to and from student’s homes is not available.
Yes. Kids ‘R’ Kids buses are available to safely transport for area field trips. We gladly transport children who meet the State’s age requirements. During our year-round field trips, children are given fun opportunities to see the community and other places of interest. Whether it is the library, a petting zoo, or a local grocery store, we take field trips to entertaining places such as bowling, putt-putt golf or roller skating. We always seek to provide a fun learning experience for the children and are committed to each child’s safety as we explore the community together.

Kids ‘R’ Kids utilizes tempered, safety glass walls and doors for a multitude of reasons: they provide the best view possible; they are cleaner, safer and leave no question of who is caring for your child; they promote an open environment where teachers and children are in constant contact; and ensure the utmost safety and security of everyone.
Our exclusive curriculum propels Kids ‘R’ Kids Learning Academies far beyond state and industry standards. The standards-driven learning goals provide teachers with the tools to engage children in fun and purposeful activities.
Yes. Kids ‘R’ Kids Learning Academy of Charlotte is equipped with 3-4 outdoor playground areas with state-of-the-art play equipment. The children have scheduled times in the morning and the afternoon to explore the outside world. As an added safety feature, we have six-foot fencing around the outside perimeter of our play areas. We also abide by the Federal regulations on safety equipment and their surrounding fall zones.
Yes. We serve daily hot meals and nutritional snacks. In order to be sensitive to allergies, we are totally nut free, we also serve soy milk and have a daily vegetarian option. Kids ‘R’ Kids is known for being very allergen friendly, so please see us for your child’s special dietary needs. Kids ‘R’ Kids of Charlotte is equipped with a full-service kitchen and our excellent cook, Chef Tressa, has been to culinary school! We provide parents with a monthly menu and are always introducing new and yummy items to our recipe box!
Yes. The Kids ‘R’ Kids Learning Academy of Charlotte faculty is required to follow state regulations that apply to daycare, childcare, and preschool training. All staff is trained in First Aid/CPR, Infectious Disease Control, Injury Prevention, and Child Abuse Awareness. Additional training in child development, curriculum, classroom arrangement, nutrition, classroom management, age-appropriate activities, field trip planning and OSHA regulations provides excellent skills needed to create a quality learning environment. The staff is also encouraged to further their education through both on and off site trainings and courses.

If an emergency develops such as severe weather, fire, physical damage to the building, or any other situation that poses a threat, you will be notified. The notification process will be given to you upon enrollment.
