Nature is all around us, and yet oftentimes, we don\u2019t remember to take the time to appreciate it. Below are a few facts to share with your preschooler to help get both you and your child excited about nature!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

How Do Insects Fly?<\/span><\/h4>\n

Insects fly by using their wings to push themselves off the ground and into the air. Their wings are covered in tiny hairs that help the insect to stay in the air as they flap them.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

How Do Animals Camouflage Themselves?<\/span><\/h4>\n

Animals camouflage themselves by using their fur or skin to blend in with their surroundings. This helps them to avoid being seen by predators or prey.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

How Do Birds Build Nests?<\/span><\/h4>\n

Birds build nests by using items like sticks, leaves, and grass to create a safe place for their eggs. The nests are usually built in trees or bushes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

How Do Fish Swim?<\/span><\/h4>\n

Fish swim by using their fins to push themselves through the water. The fins help to stabilize the fish as they move and turn. This is similar to how we use our feet to walk on land!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

How Do Animals Migrate?<\/span><\/h4>\n

Animals migrate by moving from one environment to another in search of food or water. They usually travel in massive groups or herds. We do the same when we migrate to the kitchen for some food.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

All of the above facts show us that nature is full of surprises. By learning about how different animals and insects adapt to their environments, we can appreciate all the ways we as humans adapt to our environment too. Because we share our planet, take the time to teach your preschooler that it is our responsibility to change it for the better!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
