Our Classrooms

Based on decades of experience, we have designed classrooms to create an atmosphere where education and safety are priorities. Our developmentally-appropriate classrooms feature:

  • Floor-to-ceiling, tempered glass walls and doors, which give children a preview of their next level classroom and aids in their transition into that class
  • Separate, clean storage for each child’s personal belongings
  • Child-sized handwashing facilities
  • Separate children’s restrooms

Kids R Kids works with the following Subsidy Programs to assist parents with paying for child care services. Other programs will be considered at the request of the parent.

Accredited Professional Preschool Learning Environment

APPLE

APPLE (Accredited Professional Preschool Learning Environment) is a national early learning program accreditation. With over 900 accredited programs and many more engaged in the process, APPLE is one of the largest accrediting programs for early learning centers. In Florida, APPLE is accepted as one of Florida’s Gold Seal Quality programs. The Gold Seal program provides additional benefits including: ad valorem tax relief, a sales tax exemption on supplies and materials, and an increase in reimbursement for subsidized care. The best benefit is giving your parents the confidence that the care of their children is at an APPLE accredited center.

APPLE is designed to work well for all types of facilities, small centers, privately owned, faith-based, or corporate programs. Studies show the positive effects of high-quality early learning centers on the physical, cognitive, linguistic, social, and emotional outcomes of young children. The APPLE program will raise your center to a level of quality that will enable you to better serve the children and their families.

APPLE was developed by owners and operators of early learning centers, and is grounded in the unique perspective of the business of childcare. Kids ‘R’ Kids has consulted with experts to create a safety and security program with the following features:

    • Infant, child and adult CPR and First Aid trained staff
    • Dedicated (Boo-Boo) room to address medical needs
    • Strict background checks on all staff
    • Secured entrances with restricted visitor access
    • Closed-circuit cameras that are continuously monitored by staff 
    • Password-protected Internet viewing of classrooms, playgrounds and the cafeteria

Kids 'R' Kids Learning Academy of Landstar has taken clean to the next level with ZONO - Sanitech.

ZONO - Sanitech Beyond Clean

The ZONO is a “green” sanitizing system. This technology is already used in the medical device and food processing industries. Ozone is generated with ultraviolet light using the air in the room in the sealed ZONO cabinet.  Humidity is then added to the sealed ZONO cabinet, and the sanitizing process is completed. What does the ZONO sanitizing system do?

The ZONO controls microbial contamination by sterilizing bacteria, viruses and fungi.  It is an important part of a comprehensive sanitizing routine. The eco-friendly technology reduces the time, energy, and chemicals required to sanitize.

What is cleaned by ZONO?

We use the ZONO to sanitize  just about everything your child uses at our school such as small toys, soft play items, infant walkers, mattresses, mats, bouncy seats, and activity tables.

Our Dining Experience

Research shows that practicing family-style dining enhances social skills, table manners, and increases conversation techniques. Our nutritious dining program is designed with these attributes in mind, and features:

    • Mealtime conversation focused on nutritional education
    • Well-balanced and healthy meals prepared by onsite chef
    • Protocols to protect children with food allergies
    • Menus that are  prepared in advance and available online
    • For bottle-fed children, families must provide prepared formula or mother’s milk placed in bottles. All infant items should be marked with the child´s first and last name. We will inform you of the policy regarding baby foods
